 Critical illness rider is a new rider to cover major illnesses for the above existing basic plans. This will help the policy holders to avail this benefit by paying a reasonable extra premium.
 
 Critical illness S.A will be payable (only once during the policy term) on the life assured surviving for a period of 28 days from the date of occurrence of any of the following critical illnesses.- Heart Attack (Myocardial Infraction
- Stroke (Cerebro-Vascular Accident)
- Cancer
- Kidney Failure
- Major Organ Transplant
- Paralysis
- 3rd Degree Burns
- Blindness
- Coronary Artery By-pass surgery
- Heart Valve Replacement or Repair
- Aorta graft Surgery
 
 Once the claim under CIR has been admitted, no subsequent charge towards CIR benefit shall be deducted.
 
 Note: S.A under the basic plan will not exceed Rs. 5 Lakh, if PWB rider is opted along with CIR
 
 *Max S.A. under CIR should not be more than basic S.A subject to max of Rs 5 Lakhs
