Beginners query
Email Query from himanshu I am new to trading market. I know nothing about opening account and demat account, expect for a little basics. I have few queries, if u have time please clarify them.
1. Does opening my account with my sbi account make any difference like some benefits or something and how zerodha is a better option??
2. Do i need a big investments to starting making profits. I am not in hurry to make big profits overnight. Can we even start with few thousands like 5-10 thousand.
3. Suppose i buy or sell some shares of a company, for how long can i keep that?? I heard i can keep them for 5 days maximum or do i have to sell them on the same day??
And how much brokerage fee will be levied on each transaction?
4. What are the other types or fees i have to pay other that brokerage and annual account maintenance fee??
I'll be high thankful to you.

brokerage charges will be almost 10 times higher with sbi / icici and so on as opposed to Zerodha
2. Do i need a big investments to starting making profits. I am not in hurry to make big profits overnight. Can we even start with few thousands like 5-10 thousand.
yes, in my early days, i started with as little as 600 ...

That is up to u ... As long as u do not take leverage, you can hold for 10 years or as long as u want ... brokerage in Zerodha is 0.1% or 20 Rs per order ... which ever is minimum
4. What are the other types or fees i have to pay other that brokerage and annual account maintenance fee??
Brokerage and acc maintenance fee is all you will have to pay

Email Query from Himanshu again I want to know that most of the people do Intraday trading. What is that and how is it different?? Also is it a safe play to do short term investment like that??
Also as the price of stocks are very high of some of the companies like Asian Paints, so i think holding 10-20 stocks of such company doesnot provide much return because 10-20 stocks will be around 20-40 thousand for such companies. Is it so or should we go for even less stocks of good companies??

you should not worry about size or price of a company to invest in .... attached is the PDF format of my book ... criteria mentioned in the book alone should matter
in reality, people lose more money in low priced stocks, than high priced stocks ....
