I recently sold off some Gold Jewellery in Chennai to get cash in order to pay off my personal loans.

Sharing some info here to those who are looking to Sell Gold Coins or Jewellery in-exchange for cash.

Well, all the popular and prime jewellery shops like Tanishq, GRT, Joy Alukkas and so on will not entertain paying cash for your jewellery. They will only be interested to exchange for new jewellery.

So, to sell your Gold coins or Jewellery, you have to find a local Gold Buyer. You can find them from JustDial like i did.

Now, to the most important question. How much will they pay for second hand Gold Jewellery or Gold Coins?

• For 916 Hallmark Jewellery, they will pay you 96% in cash on the current gold rate
• For non-916 hallmark jewellery, they will pay you max of 90% and it will vary based on the purity of the Gold

Make sure to take photocopy of your identity proof and address proof as the Gold Buyer will ask for the same.

Make sure to collect cash instantly, so that you are not cheated.

Gold which is sold like these could also be stolen gold ... ID card is requested only to safeguard the jeweler from people who steal. Its probably a practice that is requested by Police

It may be possible on that you were seeing the 10 gram gold or price of gold bar.
Both are the different, Gold bar is also called a gold ingot.
If you are selling your gold at this time so you will get some money but less.
Right now gold price is Rs. 27,775 .
