Before going for a Kerala boat house trip, i was worried about its safety. But i didn't find any useful info on net. It was an awesome trip.
I went for a 2 day Boat house trip and it was perfectly safe and an awesome experience. If you want to relax and enjoy the serenity of Kerala, go for the boat house trip.
The hospitality was really good. The house boats are available for various needs in 1 bedroom boat house and up-to 6 bedroom boat house i believe. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served in the boat house. We bought Fish, Prawns and Crab along the boat trip and the Chef cooked it for us. Forgot to mention that 3 persons accompany us on the boat (A Captain, Chef and a boat Driver).
I went in July and it happened to be an off-season and i got a good deal of 5000 Rs a day for a 2 bed room boat house. Looks like June, July and may be early August is off-season and you get good cheap deals on pricing as low as 4000 Rs a day. On off-seasons, you can book the boat houses even on the last day.
I was told that pricing goes as high as 20,000 Rs or even higher a day during peak seasons like December. So, book in advance with partial payment during off-season times to get a better deal.
