its clear a hidden charges.it is apart from the regular brokerages.it is not disclosed while opening an account.
Ya, true. Most brokers Dont talk about surcharges on brokerage like STT and so on. They only say their base charges. Normally total brokerage would be 20% above base charges. Thats just a rough no am saying.

Is signing the POA (POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR BROKING AND OTHER PRODUCTS & SERVICES) mandatory for opening ONLINE
demat/trading account for CASH segment only. As far as I know, POA is a non-mandatory document. Geojit is refusing to open an
online demat/trading account unless we sign the POA. Please clarify.

Geojit is forcing to sign on the POA for an online account. Is POA mandatory for online trading or Geojit is taking me for a ride.

Hi, Sorry i didn't reply to your post before ... I checked with my broker RK Global and they said POA is needed to keep the stocks on clients name for more than 15 days. So, it seems like it is mandatory. So, don't shy away from opening the DEMAT account with them. I dont think they would mis-use the POA.
