Solar Industries India Limited is a leading integrated industrial explosives manufacturer and has presence in Defence sector too. It fulfills Coal India orders. This was established in 1995 and IPO was at Apr-2006. They started exports too in the same year.

It has facilities in India, Turkey, Zambia, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania and Australia. Their products are exported to more than 50 countries.

Following is the price performance in last decade. It has given about 22x returns since 2012.

Promoters hold 73% while DII & FII combined hold about 21% leaving only minimal for public. This is the reason not many are aware of this company and not many analyst tracks it.

Fun Fact: Most assume that this is a company dealing in Solar Power business just by hearing the name.

Very true, it makes one look for other stocks with similar characteristics and be invested for long. I happen to be an investor in this from 2015 only thought I was tracking it from 2009 and still holding it.

Just an observation - Try to track the stocks that gets added to NFO and analyse the recent change in share holding pattern
