A stop-loss order is simply an order that closes out your position at a specific price. It controls your risk by limiting your loss to that price. If you buy a stock at Rs 2000 and place a stop loss at Rs1950, when the price reaches Rs1950 your stop loss order will execute, preventing further loss.
Sir, it depends on your risk profile. It shouldn't be too close that any small volatile movement can trigger it or too deep that loss will be more. Try not to lose more that 2% of ur capital in a trade. Some keep it to 1%. Take position only where risk reward is in ur favour
By 15 min strategy, you would easily be knowing where to add the stop loss.
Risk depends upon which type of trading you follow. I usually place 20 to 30 points and follow 15 min strategy
Stoploss needs to be placed a bit below the support levels of the price. Placing stop loss of crucial importance as it can help limit the losses and make sure that the losses are limited when they do happen.
