Getting the below error in passport status page,
Not sure what this means. Trying to figure out if passport office does update the status of the application or is it just my particular case.Unable to get the status because of one of the following reasons :
Incorrect File No. - Please try again
Application was submitted more than one year back
Your Passport might have been despatched a month back and has not returned to us
We got the passport in time. Looks like at-least in our case, status was not updated online for tatkal passport application.
If yours too is not updated online, wait for 15 days and check with the inquiry section of the passport office where you submitted your application.

I registered my application on 22nd July and when I checked my status I got the same error. Have you received your passport or enquired about the error?
Did You apply in Tatkal or Normal? If Tatkal, was the fees 2500 Rs or 1500 Rs? For 2500 Rs Tatkal fee, The turnaround time is 7 working days (up-to 14 week days in reality). For 1500 Rs Tatkal fees, the turnaround time is 14 working days (up-to 25 week days).
We applied on 7th July and got it on 21st July for Tatkal fees 2500 Rs... It seems like they don't update passport tatkal status in the website. If you still haven't got it for Tatkal fees 2500 Rs, pls contact Passport Office for Inquiry.
