Dear Sir,

i want to open my Demat account and start with initial investment of Rs 5000,
so if i open my account in sbi then for investing Rs 1000 what will be the brokerage charge,
is it 0.50% of 1000 that is Rs 5,
or there will be some other minimum charge and what is the charge for opening that account.

with SBI, there should be a minimum brokerage ... with ICICI it was around 30 Rs minimum or 0.5% whichever is higher
