  • Midcaps and small caps funds were the highest gainers as the market rallied

Equity Diversified Funds
  • Diversified funds were up ~8% for the month ended April 15, 2011

Equity Mid-cap Funds
  • Midcaps and small cap funds were outperformers with the category delivering ~11% return for the current month compared to 7% return delivered by the diversified peers

Equity Infrastructure Fund
  • Infrastructure sector funds after a longer duration have been outperformers with a gain of 9% against the broader market gaining ~7%

Equity Banking Funds
  • Banking funds outperformed the markets delivering ~10% return for the one month ended March 31, 2011

Equity Pharma Funds
  • Pharma companies are expected to deliver mixed results for Q4FY11. This may weigh slightly negative on the pharma stocks in the near term

Equity Technology Funds
  • So far, the results declared by the IT companies are a mixed bag. Infosys failed to meet the expectations while HCL Tech posted a good show

Equity FMCG
  • We believe revenue growth will continue its uptrend in CY11 but margin pressure and high valuations will keep the premium capped. Hence, we remain neutral on the performance of the sector and, thus, the funds
