Godfrey Phillips India Limited manufactures and distributes cigarettes, smoking tobacco and cigars. The Group's brands include Black & White Kingsize Filter, Four Square Kingsize Filter, Cavanders Navy Cut Regular, Red & White, Anand and Leader. The Company also manufactures Virgin Gold and Philip's Gold cigarette tobacco.

Godfrey Phillips is a good bet in mid-cap space. Its currently trading at a P/E of little over 17 with decent dividend yields of 1% in the last 12 months. Minimal liabilities. Revenues have grown steadily from 772 Crores to 1,631 Crores in the last 5 years. Profits have risen in similar lines from 88 Crores to 166 Crores. NPM has dipped marginally from 11% to 10% over 5 years. Recent quarter results have been exceedingly good with growth of over 50% compared to the past (Avg 20%). Buy and hold for long term gains.
