    Rising crude, selling by FII (capital outflow as interest rates are rising), weakening INR are some of the reasons. Please note that if there is fall, it will trigger many stoploss in the system which will only add more selling pressure. That's the reason for sudden crash.

    The stock market can crash when investors lose confidence for the future and turn pessimistic about it. In such a case, the investors start selling their holdings incessantly, and that too at lower and lower prices. This soon turns the market to bear market and the market can stay that way for a prolonged time.
