Today, i walked into a First Flight Courier franchise shop to courier my book within Chennai (Local Courier). The package is less than 250 grams and i was shocked to hear First Flight Courier charges of Rupees 40 for local courier.

I took the package back and went to Professional Couriers. They charged me only 12 Rupees and rightly so. First Flight Courier charges are a total rip off. I am not sure if it was only that particular franchise shop or if First Flight charges are generally high.

I can understand BlueDart charging high for their quality and brand presence. But First Flight charging so high has no value in it. I am not sure what strategy First Flight has, but it definitely sounds like a poor strategy.
