  1. Daily Indian Stock market opening bell(09-05-12)

Market is likely to extend Tuesday's steep slide mirroring weak global cues after political developments in Greece stoked concerns about Europe's financial health. ABB, Punjab National Bank and Ranbaxy Laboratories unveil their quarterly results today, 9 May 2012.

Key benchmark indices tumbled to their lowest closing level in almost 16 weeks on Tuesday, 8 May 2012, after comments from Reserve Bank of India (RBI) deputy governor Subir Gokarn that the central bank has relatively little room to cut interest rates now. The BSE Sensex tanked 366.53 points or 2.17% to settle at 16,546.18, its lowest closing level since 18 January 2012.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 398.98 crore on Tuesday, 8 May 2012 as per provisional data from the stock exchanges. They had sold shares worth Rs 630.81 crore on Monday, 7 May 2012. Earlier, FIIs bought shares worth Rs 1224.82 crore in five trading sessions from 28 April 2012 to 4 May 2012, as per data from the stock exchanges.

Asian markets declined on Wednesday as Greece struggled to form a government two days after elections, raising the risk that a hard-won bailout could be nullified. Key benchmark indices in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan were down by 0.57% to 1.19%.

US stocks ended lower on Tuesday after political developments in Greece fanned concerns about Europe's fiscal health. Fears emerged that Greece will reject an existing international bailout prompted selling across markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 76.44 points, or 0.59%, at 12,932.09. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 5.86 points, or 0.43%, at 1,363.72 and the Nasdaq Composite index was down 11.49 points, or 0.39%, at 2,946.27.

Yes ... Nifty RSI is near 20 and we are pretty much near short term bottom. 4900 should act as a good support. If INR strengthens, we should see some upside.
