The market may extend Monday's (5 March 2012) 1.55% losses on weak Asian stocks.

Telecom stocks will be in focus as an Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM) decided to allocate 700-megahertz (MHz) spectrum band for offering fourth-generation or 4G telecom services. This particular band (700 MHz) is considered to be very efficient and could fetch the government revenues more than it got through auctioning of 3G spectrum last year.
