How to put STOP LOSS in ICICIDirect

I would like to know how to put stoploss trigger while buying or selling? For equity and also for FNO. If you could add some snapshots it would be easier.

Below's a snapshot of how to put a stop loss order ... In the below case, i am holding Indusind Bank in Delivery for long term. I used the Sell option from "DEMAT Allocation" and put a stop loss order like below,

Use the Limit Order, CMP of Indusind Bank is 397. I am using Stop loss Trigger as "390" and Limit Price as "389" ... The Stop loss order will become active once Indusind bank hits 390 and will try to execute between 390 and 389 ... Hope this clears your doubt.



If you are trading intra-day in cash margins, go to Open Positions, use Sell option and fill in the Stop loss Trigger price and Limit Price to setup stop loss.
